Noorhan Rahmatullah Noorhan graduated in 2018 from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and emphasis in cognitive neuroscience. There she spent time investigating age-related and disease-related memory changes as seen in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). She began her graduate studies in Neuroscience at UCR in 2019 and joined the Goel lab in the Spring of 2020. Her time working with children with autism and other ASDs, implementing behavior therapy (ABA), inspired her interests in investigating neurodevelopment and impaired sensory processing. She devotes her time in the Goel lab to understanding the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of sensory processing and sensory impairments in Fragile X syndrome. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new beaches, trying new foods, going on coffee excursions and traveling around the globe! |
